WinZip is one of the most popular and widely used tools for compressing and decompressing files, folders and entire directory structures saving space. The application also reduces the time for sending or recieving e-mails, as well as encrypting or decrypting your key documents. The program supports most Internet file formats, integration with Windows Explorer, one-click zipping and e-mailing. You can save a lot of time downloading files from the Internet and uploading them there.

This version offers a thumbnail image view and automatic compression selection; now you can open some .RAR files and .BZ2 files and enjoy the improved compression for audio .WAV files.

Besides that, WinZip is bundled with Google Toolbar and Google Desktop Search (this is optional for installation), provides the facility to change the view to a Windows Explorer format giving an easy navigation of your hard drive when you create a compressed archive. The method used for encryption provides excellent security for your files, with the option for both 128-bit and 256-bit security.

Finally, the WinZip Utility tool has very nice icons and a user-friendly interface.
